I’m a mother of two beautiful little ones and I live on Gadigal – Wangal country in the inner west of Sydney, where I was born and grew up.
I am an art lover, Pilates junkie and when I can I try to find my way to the beach. Before becoming a mum and postnatal doula, I worked in arts administration and studied Fine Arts, Journalism and PR.
After a rocky start to motherhood, when my daughter was four months old I was introduced to Julia Jones and her Newborn Mothers approach to postpartum care. My family’s life changed instantly for the better. My journey, along with my partner, in parenthood has since become one of the most rewarding, enriching and most enjoyable rides (with plenty of challenges along the way!)
When our son announced his impending arrival, we started to plan our perfect postpartum period using what we had previously learnt. However, as much as I looked I wasn’t able to find a doula in Sydney that focused solely on postnatal support or the postpartum care I desired. Although my son arrived in one of the most stressful years of my life by following the Newborn Mothers approach, the 10 weeks after his birth, was the most peaceful time of my life.
Newborn Mothers postpartum care and the ayurvedic principles that underpin this methodology are the foundation of my practice today.
I now want to share these secrets and provide the support I’ve learnt along my journey with you and your family to ensure you have your perfect postpartum experience.
